“I am delighted to know that the Ministry of Commerce and Export Promotion Bureau are organizing the 24th Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) in Dhaka. I hope, this arrangement will make a positive contribution in local economy by establishing a link between local and foreign investors and customers.

Specific Action Plan has been taken with a view to turning Bangladesh into a middle income country by the year 2021 and a developed one by 2041. In order to achieve this goal, a multi-pronged program is being implemented to increase the business and investment 100 economic zones are being established to encourage private investment. Hi-Tech Park is being set up throughout the country to promote technology-based industry. I think that the Dhaka International Trade Fair would be able to play an important role in implementing this multi-faceted economic plan and rapid development of the economy.

The Dhaka International Trade Fair is the largest business event in Bangladesh. The fair is very important to bring the producers, exporters, importers, traders and the consumers under a single platform. DITF creates opportunities for entrepreneurs in displaying and presenting new fashion, innovations and quality products as well as provides opportunity for the customers to compare the products in terms of quality and price competitiveness. I hope the DITF’s arrangements will be more attractive through displaying quality goods and services.

I believe that the local and foreign companies, buyers, visitors, exporters and importers participating in the DITF will be able to bring dynamism in local economy. I hope that the fair will be more vibrant and festive with mass participation.I wish the 24th Dhaka International Trade Fair a grand success.
