In homage to the brave men and women who contributed to the liberation of Bangladesh, an initiative was undertaken By Mozmil Hussain, Vice President of the United Nations Association Eastbourne, in collaboration with Councillor Pat Rodohan and the local Bengali community to illuminate the Town Hall Clock in red from 25 March until 27 March. This gesture was a poignant tribute to their enduring legacy and the indomitable spirit of freedom.
The collaboration between the Bengali community and the Eastbourne Borough Council epitomises a historic event documented within the annals of the South East.
