UK visit of Dr Samanta Lal Sen

London:  Dr Samanta Lal Sen, Hon’ble Minister for Health and Family Welfare, is on a short visit to the UK and arrived on Saturday. He is on an official visit to attend the Conference on “International Response to Antimicrobial Resistance”.

On 13 May, he attended a bilateral meeting with Mr Wes Streeting MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Health and Social Care of the United Kingdom, at Portcullis House, House of Commons. They discussed bilateral issues, including the exchange of training and expertise.

In the evening, the Minister met with the UK leadership of the Awami League at the Memsaheb restaurant in the Isle of Dogs. The meeting was aimed at discussing potential areas of cooperation in the healthcare sector.

On Thursday, the Minster will attend the Conference on ‘International Response to Antimicrobial Resistance’ followed by a Reception at the Royal Society.
