London: Members of the London Press Club got together over a drink or two at the annual summer party this week. More than 60 partygoers included Club members, Society of Editors board members, and media friends from organisations including from the Media Society, News Media Coalition, the DSMA, the FPA and the Hungarian embassy.
There was plenty to talk about… and the drink flowed.
The gathering took place as in previous years at the Royal Over-Seas League garden in St James’s.

Press Club chair Doug Wills said: “It was a terrific evening. A chance to chat about good times, interesting times and the exciting (hopefully) times ahead for journalism. It was also a chance to say Thank You to club members and our supporters.
“Thank you again to the Press Club board, especially to our unsung heroes of treasurer /administrator/publicity director Richard Dymond and our party events organiser Yvonne Harrop. This year I particularly raised a glass to Rob Jobson and Ray Massey who became joint deputy chairs of the Club and are taking on bigger roles with the Press Club Awards this summer.”
